    2016-2017 School Year Calendar

Dear Prospective St. Paul Lutheran School Family,

Thank you for taking the time to inquire about St. Paul Lutheran School. Since our beginnings more than 125 years ago, we have dedicated ourselves to raising up the next generation of faithful Christian disciples while providing excellent academic education. Most recently, our school has witnessed to our largest student body and record numbers of new families. Our school is growing, our mission outreach is expanding, and we invite your family to be a part of our thriving St. Paul Family!

This school year has flown by, and it is hard to believe it is already time to share information about the 2016-2017 application process. The following letter is organized into question and answer form for ease of reading.

What is the registration fee for next school year? When do we enroll?
Priority Registration is March 1-31 for current school families. Registration fee is $300 per student for families who register during this time. Registration fee increases to $350 per student April 1.

New families who submit their application and registration fee March 1-31 are eligible for the Priority Registration discount. While new school families may submit an application and registration fee at any time, we will hold paperwork and payment until April 1. We will notify the family the first week of April to either confirm registration, or let them know of a waitlist for the class.

What is new for next year?
One very exciting change is the implementation of a new student information system. We are partnering with PraxiSchool to offer an all-inclusive system to our families. This will allow you to have real-time, online access to lunch accounts, tuition and fee accounts, grades, teacher communication, online payments, and much more. Following registration, you will receive information from the school regarding online enrollment for next year. In less than 10 minutes, you can complete much of the “summer enrollment” paperwork of the past, and ensure we are set-up and ready to roll by August. We are also excited to announce our new Mother’s Day Out program! This is perfect for families who are looking for part-time childcare options, or wish to introduce their three or four-year-old child to a structured school setting. Mother’s Day Out is Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am to noon and follows our Pre-K structure, schedule, and curriculum.

It is a privilege and a blessing to serve at such an outstanding school and be a part of what God is doing here at St. Paul. As always, I welcome any questions you may have, and I look forward to welcoming your family to an even brighter year in 2016-2017!

    Serving Him & You,
    Mr. Corey Moss, Principal

    Dear Current St. Paul Families,

I have truly enjoyed serving you as principal. The school year has flown by, and it is already time to share information about the upcoming 2016-2017 school year and our registration process. The following letter is organized into question and answer form for ease of reading.

What is the registration fee for next school year? When do we register?
Priority Registration is $300 per student for families who submit their Registration Form (on reverse) and fee March 1-31. Registration fee increases to $350 per student April 1. Please see Mr. Moss for installment options for multi-student households.

When will registration open to the public?
Registration will open to the public on April 1, and available spots in a classroom are no longer held for current families. New school families may submit an application and registration fee at any time, but we will hold paperwork and payment until April 1. (New families who submit their application and registration fee March 1-31 are eligible for the Priority Registration discount.) We will notify the family the first week of April to either confirm registration, or let them know of a waitlist for the class.

Is tuition increasing next school year?
Following two years of steady rates, tuition will rise for Kindergarten through eighth grade next school year. All other fees and pricing will remain the same. The tuition increase is small, averaging 80 cents per school day. If this is outside your family’s means, please visit with Mr. Moss regarding options.

How can I help our school stay strong and healthy?
We consider our students, faculty, staff and you to be part of our St. Paul family. Just like any family, we are concerned for and desire a healthy, growing school ministry. In addition to your involvement in school and church activities through the PTF and other organizations, please consider:
 Praying for your school and her ministry.
 Actively thinking about other children who might enjoy attending St. Paul Lutheran School. This could be neighbors, friends, family, or just new people to your neighborhood.
 Speaking well of your school. Let God use you to give more children the opportunity of a Christian education. As always, my door and email are open to any questions you may have.

I’m looking forward to an even brighter year in 2016-2017!

Can we visit St. Paul? – Absolutely! Individual tours and visits are available. Contact Mr. Corey Moss to schedule a convenient time.

PLEASE NOTE: All new families will be asked to schedule an enrollment interview with the principal, and later with the teacher. You will be contacted to confirm your appointments. The projected annual cost of educating a child at St. Paul Lutheran School is over $6,000. This amount includes the cost of utilities, textbooks, supplies, equipment, salaries, benefits, and general facility needs. Tuition and fees paid by families only cover part of that cost. As part of its ministry, the church congregation bears the costs that tuition and fees do not cover. If you have questions or concerns regarding your tuition and/or fees, we invite you to visit with the school principal or office staff.

We Share Your Views and Beliefs

As a parent, you want your child to grow up in an environment where the beliefs are like your own. The world we live in offers many opportunities and just as many distractions that can lead us astray. Lutheran Schools like St Paul, provide a setting where faith is fostered each and every day. Children learn they have alternatives to the values and lifestyles commonly displayed in popular culture. At St Paul, students are taught to view the world through a Christian lens that guides them to live according to biblical ideals in today’s world. Students, teachers and families speak freely about Christ at our school and are encouraged to share the Gospel.

    We Partner with Your Family

The community of students, teachers and families at St Paul become your “Forever family.” We take pride in relationships that go beyond the student alone and extend deeper to their family. Lutheran Schools are not bound by the same structure as other schools in the area. This gives us the unique opportunity to embrace each student and their family as individuals to provide the personal attention, encouragement and problem solving you and your child deserve. We may have the titles of principal, teacher or coach, but our passion for being strong Christian role models and partnering with families to shape the futures of our youth through the love of God is our mission.

    We Prepare Youth for Success

Students perform better academically when they are comfortable in their environment and feel they belong. Benefits like smaller class sizes, going to chapel and applying biblical teaching and guidance to difficult situations are all a part of how we provide a high quality Christ-centered education. While each school is different and has its own curriculum, Lutheran Schools achieve among the highest in standardized test scores. Families who pick a Lutheran School find that their kids have more opportunities to excel academically, personally and spiritually. St Paul strives to keep a leading edge by implementing the latest in technology and teaching methods. Teachers really care and do everything they can to make sure students are well-prepared to succeed in college and in life.

    We Have Passion

Passion is such a strong emotion. It causes us to live and breathe for the things in life we care about, like our love for God and our love for our children. At St Paul, we share these passions with you. As students, teachers and families, we encounter Christ in everything we do and partner together to shape the futures of our young people. St Paul has deep roots with a rich history of over 125 years of offering a traditional Christian education within a kid and family friendly environment. As a complement to our Christ-centered elementary school, Concordia Academy in Round Rock, TX provides an excellent opportunity for your child to continue their high quality education. When choosing a place to educate your children, pick a Lutheran School.

    NON-DISCRIMINATORY POLICY

St Paul Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, national & ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in 23 administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and other school administered programs. St Paul  Lutheran School will accommodate children with special needs consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We will also work collaboratively with service providers in a natural environment. If at any time St Paul  feels that we are unable to care for the child, the Director or Principal will refer the parent/guardian to community resources and work with them to secure care that is safe and desirable for their child.
